Novel uses of OpenCal

When we built the OpenCal online appointment scheduling system, we had a pre-defined idea of what our users were going to use our system for, and how they would do so. After all, we needed to make sure OpenCal addressed the needs of certain types of businesses.

So we’ve been surprised to see some of our customers use OpenCal in ways we hadn’t imagined. One particularly novel use we want to highlight today is GetFixed.ca – a Toronto-based on-site computer repair service that embedded their OpenCal mini-website directly onto their main site using an iFrame. Pretty neat.

Another surprising use has come from Inner City Offices of Singapore. They’ve been using OpenCal to schedule meeting rooms in lieu of staff and service.
